Program Information
Supervision is complicated: Tips for Supervisors and Counselors in Training 1.5CE

Supervision is complicated as supervisors and supervisees navigate multiple tasks and roles. Recent changes to supervision rules in Texas have resulted in transitions that many supervisors and supervisees find daunting, particularly pertaining to LPC-Associates and their supervision requirements. In this presentation, the presenter will discuss current Texas rules regarding LPC-Associate supervision and ways that supervisors can be compliant with the rules while also increasing their effectiveness with supervisees. Counselors in training will learn ways to choose a supervisor and supervision rationales and documentation. During the presentation, handouts will be provided and discussion will be encouraged.
