Event Description

TMHCA Presents: TMHCA Spring Conference: Ethics, Inclusivity, & Best Practices for Business

Program Summary:
TMHCA’s Spring Conference is the culmination of conversations, ideas, and best hopes that started prior to the pandemic and has now come to fruition! We invite you to join the TMHCA Board of Directors at the Inn on Baron’s Creek in Fredericksburg, right in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, for a full day of learning, networking, and growing as professional counselors. The conference program highlights a diversity of experience among the speakers who will share information and training on ethics and professional integrity, preparing for court in response to a subpoena, clinical interventions around the neuroscience of addiction and competent care for Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) minorities, and business best practices including organization and preparation for tax season and reducing mental health stigma through awareness, advocacy, and inclusive language. In addition to a hot lunch provided onsite by Eaker BBQ, those who attend the full day will receive six (6) continuing education hours, including three (3) hours of Texas ethics that is required for LPC renewal. Opportunities for networking will be part of lunch and break times. Please plan to join us as we hope to make this conference an annual event as we serve counselors and the mental health profession in Texas! Advance registration is required; no onsite registration will be available.
