This session will help counselors understand the implications and applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in career counseling and career development interventions To achieve this goal, presenters will review case studies conceptualizing examples of using AI and technology in K-12, private practice, and higher education settings. Relevant ethical codes will be reviewed. Presenters will also discuss implications for school counselors, career counselors in private practice and higher education settings, and counselor educators.

Learning Objectives:
1. Attendees will understand how to apply relevant ethical codes in three case studies related to the use of AI and technology in career counseling.
2.  Attendees will be able to identify the relevant statutes in the 2024 National Career Development Association Code of Ethics related to technology use in career counseling.
3. Attendees will compare and contrast at least 2 specific applications of technology in each of the following settings: higher education, K-12, and private practice, listing at least one potential benefit and one potential challenge for each application.
