Event Description
Presented by Jennifer Garner- 2.0 CE credit

This presentation delves into "The Window of Tolerance," a concept developed by Dr. Dan Siegel to understand and manage emotional regulation. The Window of Tolerance describes the optimal zone in which individuals can process and respond to stressors effectively. When within this window, people can think clearly and respond appropriately to challenges. Conversely, when outside this window, either hyper-aroused (overwhelmed, anxious) or hypo-aroused (numb, disengaged), emotional regulation becomes more difficult. Participants will leave with a comprehensive understanding of The Window of Tolerance, its scientific foundation, and practical tools for integrating this concept into their professional practice for enhanced emotional regulation.
Learning Objectives:

1. Participants will be able to explain the Window of Tolerance concept, its scientific basis, and its relevance to emotional regulation as outlined by Dr. Dan Siegel.
2. Participants will be able to apply the Window of Tolerance concept to develop strategies for emotional regulation in their counseling practice.
3. Participants will be able to effectively use the Window of Tolerance chart with both adult and child clients.
