Event Description
This 1.0 CE presentation will provide a detailed overview of the best practices and strategies when providing therapy to specifically asexual, aromantic, and agender clients. Attendees will be taught multiple specific strategies to use when working with these marginalized identities, including research supporting the use of specialized LGBTQ Affirming Therapy when counseling asexual, aromantic, and agender clients. Presentation will be in PowerPoint format.
1. Attendees will be able to define the following terms: asexual, aromantic, and agender.
2. Attendees will learn at least three evidence-based strategies to use when providing therapy to asexual, aromantic, and agender clients.
3. Attendees will learn at least five resources that benefit asexual, aromantic, and agender clients.
